A very cold day again but not an ice day. Unlike yesterday there was a ground frost as well and the ponds have just began to freeze. A dry day mist lifting but still cloudy.

After a very cold day yesterday it's starting to feeling noticeably milder. Dry and overcast with the temperature rising steadily during the day. Maximum 6.7, minimum -1.9. Wind light SE.

Yesterday: cold and overcast with a biting wind. Maximum 1.4, minimum -1.5. Wind moderate E.

Thick freezing fog until 1400. The fog then cleared and the temperature crept above 0c, thawing all the rime. Dry, cloudy and misty for the rest of the day.
