Not even close to getting snow here. I'm currently at 200m and it's all rain. Still a bit of snow on the ground though

    It's settling now

I think snow chances this evening for most of us that live at low-levels will depend very much on how quickly the colder and drier arctic air undercuts the rain from the NW - which will relate to how

I've only just realised what a bunch of nutters we all are lol. All this drama for a 'bit' of snow .... I've spent hours if not days n days watching all this unfold .....Now all I'm left with is about

After a drizzly start the rain has just turned to wet snow. Not settling but nice to see after the disappointing few days of rain showers. Temps of 1c and dew point at 1c.

SnowIng here near Wye on North Downs. Heavy ppt but small flakes. A dusting on cars and roads but not really accumulating even though I can no longer see the back edge of the field behind us due to the falling snow. Met office have heavy rain now for this area for most of the day so I suspect it will turn to rain later

Steady drizzle, cold at 2c, very disappointing.

Looks like far SE will stay cold all week and cold air is just acros the channel, same old story.

Look abroad and so many places have blizzards, all I want is a weeks total wipe out and thats good enough for the winter.

Reading MO update despite what you read in the MOD thread, here in the south east it looks cold for 10 days plus, pos snow showers later in week.

This weather front which was meant to be directly over us at midday already seams to have cleared. Am I missing something?

The temperature is hovering around 1/2C degrees which is the same as most parts of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, nope the only thing falling is rain. There is still the faintest hope of a colder south easterly developing for a time later this week though the Euros look the least keen and keep high pressure slap bang over us before the eventual decline back to west/south westerlies.

We had the merest hint of a few snow grains late last night, and cold rain now, so it isn't just a Chatteris disappointment.

Been drizzling all morning here, currently 3.6C. The very last of the snow and ice is still hanging on in the garden, but all in all it's not pleasant out there

Been raining since about 7 this morning. Typical that when you get a decent amount of precipitation, it's wet, rather than white

Woke up to rain, nothing at 5am this morning although the ground was wet so who knows what the weather gods decided to chuck up. However I have seen some snow, i'm happy- now I await that one major summer thunderstorm with gay abandon.

    LAAAAAAA. *skippy dance*

Rain just starting to ease off now, 6.7 mm today and now 7.8 c

Just seen the met office 7 day forecast for my area, low temps but not much in the way of frost like the gfs is showing. It might 'possibly' be cloudy for the entire week without a frost :cc_confused:

Agree, looks like a dry, cool, cloudy week ahead, growing signs of more normal UK weather from next weekend onwards, mild SW winds bringing in more murk but much milder temperatures.

Rank day. Was hoping for a short spell of snow first thing, especially as it was so cold and frosty last night, but no. Rain all the way.
