proper snow now. cars covered and no gritters seen yet

Just watch someone on itv news saying they are waiting for it to stop raining before gritting or it will just wash away. For the East kent area that was.

Somone tell me i'm not wrong, just took a look at the lamppost for the first time in ages and the light is white, didn't they used to be yellowy/orange?

Mine are white, just been changed to the LED type, and don't get turned off at mid night anymore.

Many places seeing more snow than here, it's tunred back to sleet - the grass has a tiny, slushy covering but that's all!

No snowman building for me today...I might go down the pub!!

Just went outside in a black hoodie and there were bits of ice on it when came back in, not detectable under the street lamp yet.

Yes, definitely sleeting now, some big flakes mixed in but not proper snow yet.

Thought you guys in the south east would do well as the back edge moved east!

Way out west here in Stroud the cold air wrapped round a little to late, a flurry was about it!

Soe places in your region, especially with elevation could get plastered.

Good luck everyone!!!!!

Lovely heavy snow in Faversham! It's been years since we've seen a flake.

Settling snow near Maidstone.  To all those bemoaning rain and high temps, we were in the same boat here.  Then suddenly the temp dropped more than 3 degrees in about half an hour, and we had heavy snow.  Dont give up!

Still snowing and surprisingly after the torrential rain it is settling nicely!

Such a lovely sight after all these years without even a flake. A very marked temperature drop too, feels bitter out there now.
