So erm this weekend,

Cloudy, mild and mostly dry. Possibly the most boring weekend of weather for a long long time.

Alas I have other things to get interested about, mainly the fact that I am getting married to my girlfriend/fiancee of over three years. :D

Hope all goes well and you have a great day with no stress. lol...

can anybody name any cold spells in early spring of 2013? The last time i remember proper snow here was then and it gave us a couple cm in a few minutes in a short blizzard kinda snow flurry that had visibility down to a few metres infront of the car!

So much for dry yesterday, there were some quite heavy showers that moved through this part of the world yesterday but also a little sunshine.

This morning's very gusty SW'ly wind shaping up to be the talking point today, even taking the edge off the very mild temps. The weather station at Raydon Airfield, a mile or two down the road from me, has recorded a gust of 41 mph so far this morning, with a mean speed of 20 mph. At least the wind seems to be breaking the cloud up a bit, with a few patches of blue sky appearing. The readings at 08.45:

Surprisingly pleasant day today, cloud broke for a period this afternoon allowing temp to rise to 15.6c with the breeze making it feel a bit chilly only in more exposed places. The sun was nice and warm though and was nice to see appear for a bit once again. Cloudy again now with 15.2c

Mostly cloudy today but there was a brief interlude of sunnier skies, feeling mild with a max of 15C. That vile wind is howling again, gusting 35mph at times, yuck.

Windy!! Opened a packet of salsify seeds..and the wind kindly planted them in the allotment next door! :wallbash:

It's mild - but the wind made it feel colder.

Grey, drizzly and mild start to the week here. Temp 11.4C. At least this week looks like bringing some weather to talk about. This afternoon sees a cold front passing through the Region which could be squally with a short spell of heavy rain. Wednesday sees a Low over the UK with us getting strong southerly winds and a spell of moderate rain. And then by Thursday we could be waking up to a frost with much chillier air over us.

The only "weather" I want to see is sunny skies and cool to warm temps/

Of course a major dumping of snow on the Alps ready for next week would be good as well. :)

Morning All, i have had a lousy weekend suffering from severe episode of gout in my wrist. just glad the doggy decided to have a lazy weekend and not want much walking.

grey, drizzley morning here. the week ahead looks changeable with no same weather day - day. its a double whammy on the weekend. clocks go forward and mothers day. but the 5 day forecast is showing sunny and cool, so hopefully mummy's will be treated to some sunshine :)

Looks like a squall feature is showing up in the main band entering the area.

Well well.|
Lovely looking cold front, thinking spell heavy rain, but yet again the Southend rain shield down its job.

Virtually no rain at all just couple mins, unbelievable.
