Snow showers, some moderate with big flakes. Sticking on colder surfaces.

I am under that lot coming in from the sea, very small flakes almost sleet not that heavy so looking worse on radar, slight dusting on grass cars overnight here.

I think coastal locations are making it marginal, still 100% snow here although struggling to settle on all surfaces as the rate hasn't picked up yet and the ground is quite damp

Nice to see some people got quite a bit last night, nothing of note here this morning.

I took a ride on the very scenic Palma-Soller vintage railway yesterday and there are still patches of snow on the peaks from Tuesday nights rain/snow event here in Mallorca. Far more than I've seen back home in East Sussex that's for sure !

To my honest surprise woke up to a dusting on everything bar paths and roads. Still snowing very light pellet snow could be sleety but can't actually tell.

That's just round the corner from me and not quite as much as 7 years ago! This is an inch or so whereas this exact date in 2010 we were under an East Kent streamer which gave around 10" in 24 hours (see my pics from yesterday)

Edit: not a dig at you Daniel* - I just can't believe he's comparing the two!

Morning all, forget all this dank cold dreary sleet showers, bring on the sun I'd say

Last sat was last time we had sun here. Roll on spring

Hi this is my first post went to bed not holding out much hope as we are right on the  coast get up to see it's snowing light but stedey very light dusting  on the cars & a bit on the decking don't suppose it will amount to to much so I am going back to bed hopefully to wake up to something more.:)

Hi, my first post by thought I 'd share my pic from window this morning.  I'm between Dover and canterbury.:)

A warm welcome to the forum Chris & Brandini!

Just a very light dusting overnight here in my part of Suffolk and a min temp of -0.4C. Moderate snow with big flakes has just started falling (09.15) and is trying to settle, but unfortunately the temp has already crept up to +0.7C.

Matt Taylor just now on BBC weather continuing to bang on about in a happy voice, that any snow in the SE will turn to sleet and rain later this morning!

Picking up a little here can actually see it now, although I do expect it to turn to rain at some point.

No offense taken lottiekent, well I liked it. Quite nondescript  in comparison. Still nice.

Snow starting to pick up here, dusting on the cars and gardens.  About 4-5 on the Murr scale.

It's so frustrating why couldn't that lot coming in off the coast now come in when we had the colder air in place . Arrrrrggghhhh. ( throws his toys around )

Should still be snow, doubt it will settle though. The temperature here hasn't dropped below freezing for days so all a bit of a waste of time really, unless the snow is heavy enough like Surrey says.

I love it! Best snow we've had in about 4 or 5 years...off out for a walk in a minute. For my 10 year old obviously, not for my benefit at all... :D

Well the good news is the snow is intensifying, the bad news is the temps are on the up (1.4).  Still, 3rd day this winter when I've seen falling snow which makes it the best winter in four years.......how pathetic is that!!!
