A dusting on the car and shed roof now...like Whether Idle I'm watching the blob coming out of Belgium.

Its like waiting to see where the cells over France are heading in the summer (but worse as snow is so few and far between the last few years)

Whether it can make it intact I doubt, we shall see.  What it can do at least is add to the instability.  The upper cold pool and little developing low are all conducive to convective snowfall in east Kent at least. Fingers crossed for a good evening and overnight period of snow showers!

Over here the hope is more on a streamer pushing in from the Wash, lots and patches of light snow moving into Cambridgeshire and further up the coast, it could be worth looking at for those in the western half of the region.

I know it has awful resolution, but if you look at Meteox you can see the blob tails right back to Amsterdam, and seems to be heading the right way, East Kent looks like it could get a good moisture feed into its showers for a good part of the night.

The pink blob exiting Belgium.

As it hits the sea, it turns blue, will that then turn pink when and if it hits the UK, especially London area, please excuse my imbyis'm.

-10c 850hPa temperatures aloft, sub zero dew points and temperatures now becoming sub zero across the region. There's no marginality this time, anything that falls from the sky will be 100% snow.

Our only issue is actually having anything falling from the sky.

The Belgium blob is not a Kent Klipper it's heading right for the SE - its northern extent has increased.

Really surprised with the SE forecast, it was quite a ramp! :yahoo: Repeatedly emphasised were the words 'up to 5cm' hmm, I'm a bit dubious about that at the moment to say the least. Re the 'Belguim blob' is that going to intensify as it crosses the channel at all?

Was that just for Kent?

The shower bands ahead of the main blob are def going in a SW direction so i have doubts over whether the main blob will keep on an easterly track
