A few flakes here. Maybe a 1 on the Murr scale.

Light snow here too lots starting to pack in around the wash slowly moving west south west

I wonder if this will affect our little patch of the region. Maybe we'll end up in the middle ground with more snow drifting to the west and streamers setting up in Kent!

Just for fun, here's a round-up of how much lying snow the different high res models are forecasting for 09.00 Saturday morning. You have to smile at some of the differences! For example Arpege says the Wash & Norfolk are the worse locations with zero covering, and NMM miserable for most of East Anglia, whilst Hirlam says the same areas will be the best in the Region with one or two spots maybe 4 to 5 cm! Arome not too bad either! Notably consistent across all models is that the Kent Downs are looking good for several cms - see you there!

So will it be :( or will it be :yahoo:for you?

must be your metre elevation steve

seems to have brightened up a tad in c London - all the mist around the BT tower having lifted. probably in line with dropping DP's

Brightening up nicely here and dew point goes negative, couldn't make it up. Suspect wind direction change to more of an easterly, and looking the reports coming in, a very light streamer may have set up.

just taking a look at the sat 24 radar all the convection thats arrived via the NE is gradually being ushered away west now as we get the 'push' west from the continent - convection over the eastern part of the channel / north sea just building- gonna be a few hours yet :)

Should start to settle after dark

I think we were. It's eased off now, but was nice to see!

As convection is now beginning to show near Gt Yarmouth. I imagine snow showers should start developing this afternoon towards Suffolk, Essex and then finally Kent this evening.

Amazing how quickly the paths have been drying here which is always a good indicator of dropping dewpoints.
