-0.6c here and just driven through some very dense patches of fog. Something falling, a very fine freezing drizzle. No flakes, but need to have the windscreen wipers on. As others have said, if it gets much colder, then we could see a lot of ice later tonight.

Just dropped my son down in Chichester, fog patches along the way, roads were damp but noted that the gritters had been out and also when we got back to Crawley we came across more council gritting trucks so looks like some are expecting ice tonight.

Temps (according to car temp display) showing +1.5deg, which was the average all the way down and back......

From the Met Office:

Regional forecast for London & South East England

Cold and cloudy overnight. Remaining very cold Thursday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Cold and cloudy at first, with a widespread frost. Mostly dry. although the odd spot of drizzle, or perhaps some very slight snow is possible, bringing a risk of localised icy patches. Turning breezy, with some clearer spells by dawn. Minimum Temperature -3 °C.

Thursday:

Early cloud should break through the morning with spells of sunshine developing. Despite the sunshine, it will feel bitterly cold in a brisk wind, and a widespread sharp frost overnight. Maximum Temperature 3 °C.

Proper lamppost checking stuff if you were walking down the street you wouldn't notice it so the radar is probably no picking it up . Plus I think the cloud base is very low which may also be a factor .

Well I woke up to fog but with clear skies overhead, unfortunately the fog simply lifted in thick low cloud with some occasional drizzle which has continued into the evening.

The Metoffice is forecasting an ice day for here tomorrow with temperatures not getting above freezing, saying that we need to fall below freezing first of all.

-0.9c here. Still a fine drizzle here, no sign of white on the ground, but it looks slick.

Although watching snow flakes flutter down by the light of a lamp post is the ideal to use a laser is a good way to gauge what is coming down and its intensity at night . Damn all here at the moment

Just make sure you don't shoot down any planes.

Yesterday was cold with the maxima 3C with a stern icy wind. Even colder today with maximum values between 1-2C coldest days in years. Currently hovering around 0C - the sky has that orangey hue I associate with snow. How blizzare seeing cold air coming in from a southerly flow off France not often you see that. Such a shame we see a return to less cold conditions, this spell of 'wintry' weather have been great. :)

Cold and dry here, the temperature is at 0C, but with the cloud lifting somewhat it has tended to suck out all the moisture as well. So probably a grey and cold stratus-fest with no precipitation.

:cold::cold:

The air is freeeezing!! It feels colder than earlier.

The dampness on surfaces have now shrunk and turned to ice and there are small icicles on window ledges.
