I've not seen fog as thick as this in I honestly can't remember, visibility reduced below 50m. It looks dangerous I bet the air quality is horrendous it's like a Great Smog!

-3.6 and fog arriving here with a vengeance.  Scraping the car in the morning could take a while!

That must be a nightmare to sleep through!

Can't hear it in doors, good double glazing.

Nothing here in Lee Green fog  wise but a deep freeze on all the cars outside and the pavements. Looks distinctly uninviting.

Well I have woken up to cloudy skies and no frost this morning, shame as there was a thick frost when I went to bed. In fact it is below freezing both north and south of here.

Bottomed out at -5.5c here with the thick freezing fog stopping it getting as low as previous nights. Rime covered trees. <50m visibility in places. Beautiful scenes. Not quite the same as a blanket of snow, but a good second best.

Well well well.. Another night another record -6.9 c   . The thing is I woke at 4 o clock to thick fog and it was -6  , I truly believe without the fog we could have been close to -8 or 9

Anyway the rime frost is amazing this morning , everything is caked white...

Fabulous frost again here in welling dwelling lovely walk to station tracks in the road where it has frozen. Gentle high cloud and sun breaking through the cloud could be a spring day lol if it wasn't for the ice. In terms of cold I understand it could be freezing Thursday as there is a brisk southeasterly before it turns southerly/southwesterly. Have a look where that is coming from. No chance of the white stuff but that is going to be cold.

On and to top my Monday off stumbled onto the train bad back and all just got sworn at...... oh commuters

What is it reading now? It's about -1 now, but I guess Farnborough is lower. Seems to be the cold spot

It was reading-1. Seems to be spot on during the night but lower during the day. That said it's a very shade north facing spot

Morning All. Another sparkly morning, the frost is very thick in SE London and the fog really is freezing. going over Westminster bridge, the pavement was covered in frost, big ben clouded by fog and St James' Park lake iced over. What more of a winters day do you want................. Snow! but i am happy with how it is just now as even without snow its been a good winter so far.
