My wait for a covering of snow continues! Last time I saw a covering was March 13! It's a long time! It's very frustrating getting excited then being let down on the models with downgrades! Suppose just have to be patient and wait!

What is the point of a little bit of snow which then turns to rain quickly and its then all to mild for  a couple of days.

Pointless.

Equally pointless having Atlantic muck with lashings of rain every day.

Id rather a 'little bit of snow' which turns to rain quickly than no snow at all.

I mean it's going to rain in this country whether you like it or not, does no harm to see an hour snow beforehand. Think we are all ugly enough to realise it won't settle or last long if it even happens at all.

Snow is a rare thing here in the SE, I couldn't care less in what circumstances it falls or how long it lasts, whether it settles or whether is doesn't.

Im Just happy it's managed to blinking snow in the first place.

Well after the other evening we got 4/5cm plus here so happy with that and its looking good for some proper cold weather in the next few weeks.
However when I would agree with you is like last year when we got nothing here at all so a brief snow to rain would have been very good.

Met Office warning of some snow tonight.

Just has a really heavy snow shower; and it's virtually gone already.

Is that from the front out west? Cos the speed at which that crosses the region is just about the only 'exciting' thing on today's 06Z!:D

Yellow warning from metoffice for possible 'slight accumulations' of snow as the rain pushes in from the west tomorrow morning.

Could the region perhaps see a few more flakes tomorrow?

Possibly looking good fo a couple hours on snow falling Sunday am, I guess further east you are more likely to get some. Not expecting anything exciting will most likely be that horrible wet snow that just slightly covers the grass lightly. I guess that's better than nothing
