Unless my eyes deceive me we have sleety thing going on here, big flakes mixed in not many but yep can confirm some wintriness looking at the lamppost SE16! Encouraging.

Weather Underground has Brighton down for rain all evening/night now.  I am telling myself it is wrong

Winds now swinging down from the north, temps and DP's falling accordingly (1.8 and 1.0). Not much in the way of precipitation at the moment.

It can't be the temp is 5.4c. The cold air hasn't undercut yet, the winds are still from the SW

Even though we are further north than places reporting snow.. seems odd
