Your all taking to much notice of these weather apps. They are next to useless and not meant for enthusiasts like us with time better spent on looking at radars and temperature gauges. My own take is

There appears to be some form of force field from roughly Isle of Wight west killing the ppn as per earlier batch. Darn and blast

Hi

Is there a reason why this is happening?

As per a previous post by Andy Bown, when the weather is from the west it decays as it moves east therefore the east has less ppn , the opposite applies from the east..............

Yes i've seen Andy's post but what causes the decay of a front ?

Land mass I guess, energy it gets over the ocean does not exist over land, unless atmospheric conditions are conducive for convection, like a steaming jet over head as an example

Sadly yes, and I'm as far east as you can get for this region. We seem to kill weather for a lot of reasons about here. We either get a stalling front(last September when Newbury and Didcot station flooded) or we have an invisible storm/snow shield. Topography has a lot to answer for and I guess the Thames itself might play a part. But even though this is a westward moving band of ppn, it;s still dying JUST as it gets here!

The last three days of this highly ramped Easterly... what Easterly?

2017-02-12.thumb.png.f67dbb6e9f8c76516391011354438104.png

Certainly hasn't been much of an easterly. Hasn't delivered anything really, not even an air frost.

Flurrying again in the last half an hour, that's 4 consecutive days so even though ultimately disappointing it is very notable as that hasn't happened since March 2013.
