Yes, we had sleet down here which was totally unexpected and we're a lot lower down than they are

Howling NNW wind this evening - had a hail shower mid afternoon too. What has surprised me today is strength of this wind. Normally fairly sheltered here.

Drove into Bristol at about 12.30 and it was absolutely tipping down with snow, huge flakes too. Lasted until I dropped down the other side of the Mendips where it turned to sleet, then rain. It was a real demonstration of the big difference height can make to these situations. Blinking freezing now.

Same. Extremely fine mizzle.

Very heavy rain here now as that front moves through. Expecting the wind to pick up and skies clear following its passing.

I had to pop in to the shed to do some work, just as that trough arrived. It hammered down for about 10 minutes, and got really gusty. It was quite cosy!

Crickey! Woken by a large shower, sounded like a squall but the radar suggests it's a shower.. very noisy with the wind!
