And when thou sees thou moon thy temperature shall tumble.

:D

Tumble mode switched on, however still seeing a breeze from the N/NE rather than the E, so wind direction still suggests  the stuff over the east of the UK aint comin this way..

Ideally we want a few hours of clear sky to allow the temperature to drop and cool the ground like happened last evening/night. Unfortunately though no hard frost to lower the ground temperature enough to subsequently sustain snow cover.

Not sure when it last snowed throughout the day, so a very rare occurrence indeed today even though it ultimately may as well have rained!

However my 6 month old enjoyed being out in it, happily moving his hands towards the flakes!

I caught a few perfect hexagonal flakes on my jumper but they melted too quickly before we could get pictures.

Ground is pretty cold though we have had a couple of days without any real rise in temperature and if it drops even just sub zero with with wind it will cool it down faster than a frost..?

1.2c DP -1c

ill be honest I'm not expecting settled snow, but to see some more snow would be a bonus.

If you look at netweathers postcode forecast it shows wind veering almost to north briefly around midnight so perhaps it all moves south southeast wards for a time then heads more west again into early hours. Also forecasts around 2mm over a few hours which is 2 cm.. :)

One can dream.:D

Currently 1.2°C  here. Both wetbulb and dew point are conducive of snowfall. Just need the snow!

I dunno about anyone else, but i've noticed that the wind has been nowhere near as strong as forecast. I know it is supposed to increase tomorrow and Monday, but the last few days have had light winds.

There appears to be some form of force field from roughly Isle of Wight west killing the ppn as per earlier batch. Darn and blast

It's just like when fronts cross from the Atlantic towards the East, they die out during their progress leaving less rain to the East.

Bit higher here at 1.1°C dp -0.2°C but should still be ok. Would be nice if ppn actualy gets here intact.

Yet strangely fronts don't seem to have a problem crossing the huge landmass that is Europe haha. What is it about the UK that drains front of their precipitation?!
