Its been a mess on and off since this cold snap was first modelled. I think the Mods are really struggling with controlling that thread right now!

Worcester ain't that big. We could just drive around until we see some naked people cavorting in woolly hats...

Many a true word spoken in jest...

Yes it's all gone .. well MAD in the MAD thread. Sometimes it's not what people say but they way they say it. Much safer and friendlier in here. Was dripping ice cold rain at 4pm in Old Town Swindon. Yuk!

I for one will be looking forward to see what crops up this w-end and hope that you all see a flake or 2!!

Oh bless them. I've learned to expect the worst (ie cold and dull) and be pleasantly surpirsed if we get any s!%^ . Life really is too short to stress about a potential non event

I think I said a few pages back I wasn't going to get my hopes up, as usual it gets watered down the closer it gets!

Oh well let's hope for a nice spring and summer with some cracking thunder storms

It might well be getting shorter. But I got a potential ice day on Friday coming up. So I'm happy with what's coming.

Umm have I wandered into the MAD thread..? Why the doom and gloom. Come on people! Glass half full please - it'll be cold, that's half of the ingredients we need to have snow  :friends:

Sorry, but I cannot get excited over 4°C  and grey skies for a few days. The cold spell a few weeks back will still be better than this, because we had freezing fog, we also had sunshine, and 8 consecutive nights of below -2°C - it doesn't look like getting anywhere near as good as that.

Got into double figures today. Felt positively spring like in the sunshine and very pleasant. Just got back from the gym and in complete contrast, temps have fallen to 3C and I have precipitation. It's rain, but seems to be some sleet mixed in it. I repeat I have a flake of something vaguely white. This is not a drill :D

Very heavy rain over us at the mo seems to have built from nowhere it all looked like it was fizzing out earlier. Rain bands earlier this afternoon/evening were all moving the SW-NE now definitely moving N-S or even NNw-SSE. Is this the first interaction we are seeing from the high?

Top temp earlier today was 10.2oC now 4.9oC and falling slowly.

Maybe some hope to see something wintry falling out of the sky over the weekend got my fingers crossed for everyone.

Well enjoy it all, I caught the BBC weather with Schaffernacker ( I think that's how you spell it!!) it's only a cold snap!!

So hopefully some of us might see the white stuff in the coming days but it does look like turning less cold early next week:nonono:

We have the technology. We have the capability. We just need a bit of a whip round....if ever there was a need for a crowd fund.
