Big let down this cold spell is, when the showers did finally make  it across from Wales they passed just to the North and south of here, typical lol.

A light dusting of snow here! Bit of a nice surprise, even if it still isn't enough to build a snowman! :D

Well pleased with the amount of snow we had yesterday evening.
Still a slight patchy dusting of it remaining on fence tops, greenhouses and sheds.
Nice and icy everywhere watched the cat slipping up the path to the backdoor steps.

We had 12.6mm of rain yesterday in total
2.7c at  at 6am, but temp has dropped since to 2.2c
1010.8 hPa, NW 9mph

Hi Chris, similar here, a nice dusting/covering overnight,,,,,,it was a snow shower that passed through around 5am....I was awake and it snowed quite heavily for around 15 mins......looking at the radar, I might catch a few flurries from that clump moving down through the midlands

Morning all!

Was lovely to open the curtains to see this :cold:

Not sure if the band moving south will hit us but very happy right now :yahoo:

Nice dusting in Stroud :)

It was a lovely surprise opening the curtains this morning.

Going back through the radar it looks we caught a hefty shower about 430am

wonder if the band to the north can clip us?

Yep a big fail here. Either to far east or west. No doubt the clump to the north will magically swing east at the last minute.

Now do I go to the Mendips or not.

Looks to me like it's fizzling out on it's western edge. A lot of intensity lost since it got past Liverpool!

It's only a dusting up here, looks pretty but doesn't even amount to 1cm. If you do venture up wrap up warm, there's a biting wind and it's blinking freezing.

much as I love living in Bournemouth we really are relegation fodder when it comes to snow. It's almost embarrassing at times.

Well done to all who have seen some so far and who might see some more yet! that band travelling southeast is a massive fail for central southern England I think. Going to be too far east.

Well we had light sleet and snow showers throughout the night till 4. Alas nothing of note settled. The snow line here was 300 metres....again. Its absolutely baltic out there mind. A mild suggestion of snow flurries on the higher moor later tonight but nothing to get excited about. I'll be nipping up to Beardown Tors tomorrow to see if there is any left.

Very very light snow around Oxford. Hopefully it will pep up a bit as it won't be around long looking at the radar!

Thanks for this, I'd not come across that term before.

At some point in the early hours some very, very light snow fell here, looked more as though someone had sprinkled caster sugar on the grass and cars.  Temperature has not dropped below freezing but there is a very strong and bitter NW wind making it feel raw cold.

We had nothing, but I walked 1.5 miles to Downton first thing and they'd had the same as you from a shower that passed over at around 7am. Alderholt had a bit more.
