Wonder if this band further north will clip us being that we are N/E Somerset right on Wits Border.

Now that it's getting light I can see that the mendips have a sugar coating. Must be left from yesterday as I don't think any showers reached here overnight.

Unfortunately looks like the snow over Wales and the midlands will miss here, or just clip if it doesn't fizzle out. Shame after the unexpecteded light covering of last night. Oh well, good to see stuff popping up unexpectedly anyway. Maybe later today!

Yeah Swindon eastwards might get some, hope it doesn't fizzle for you!

Yes we have a dusting which is enough to look pretty but I expect it will rapidly melt this morning as not much.

I think you mitt be surprised, seems to be going in a more N/S direction, just like the showers earlier this morning, looking at the rain radar the eastern most extent of that band is already in approx the same position as where some of the showers blew down from.

Was lovely to open the curtains to see this :cold:

Hope you're right! Running the animation back an hour on the V4 radar, not so optimistic... Looks like the western half of the band has shrunk.

Did you get any more overnight than here? Just a couple cm here, but know you often do better out your way.

Best fall since Jan 2013 (which isn't saying much) but very happy to see it and to walk out to my lift in light snow, with snow on the ground.

Morning all, we've had another dusting on top of yesterdays which didn't melt at all, it looks lovely but the roads look lethal. I'm guessing by the fact the snow has stuck to vertical surfaces that it was quite breezy when it came through. Currently -1.1c dp -3.4c, if we do get any more showers today I'll be at work and miss them, fingers crossed they fall in Keynsham area too so I can at least see them fall.

Morning peeps....That band of precip in the midlands...is it forecast to make its way down to southern england...or is it going to fizzle out as it does so?...would be great to see a bit of the white stuff...:cold:

Very little last night but had a great blizzard like shower this morning at 4-30 that left a nice dusting but that's all we had.
