Yeah - I could see the white cloud top lit up by the moon. Maybe 5" of snow might blow this way? LaieA_031.gif

What a boring 'cold spell'. I'm hoping something miraculous happens in the remainder of the night!

That batch of snow just north of Wolverhampton at the minute is looking good to me, could be better than forecast

Could be good for quite a few of us if it makes it this far. How likely that is is another thing.

The temperature has remained constant at around 2C in Exeter but dew points have gone up so showers have mostly turned back to rain.  Goodnight all!

That's if it actually is snow if it gets down this far. I can confirm the pink precipitation over my area currently is not snow, but rain.

Awesome ice crystal pattern on the car roof! Will have to get a photo in the morning. Might get covered in a dusting of snow though!

Well it is weakening. But could still reach here. Clouds to the North can be seen now after a few hours of clear skies. Temp just below freezing -0.3c. Frost and light covering of snow from early evening.

IF said W/ NW for showers but the lot coming from Birmingham have my name on them, I think we could get lucky in NE wilts for a tiny dusting

The joys of having a baby - I'm up to witness a potential snow shower, first for 3 years. Maybe more heavier ones later. Below freezing too.

IMG_3998.PNG

I can confirm it's snowing, and quite heavy. Little dusting, may miss out on the heavier shower just to our east.

As expected the Cotswolds and the even longer track from NW eventualy meant the showers fizzled out. Few flakes in the wind.

Seen by the radar in space of 20-40 mins.

That feature in Wales looks promising , heavier and on track. Hopefully stays together and should be here in an hour or so

Dunno why I have pulled an all nighter when I knew by the 12z's yesterday wasn't in for a chance after the "main wave" passed through and the showers followed in behind it. I live in hope though  didn't even see any sleet! But yet again I see myself anticipating the 00z runs to see what they bring to our neck of the woods today, tomorrow and beyond I think the past few days is now driving me slightly crazy in someway as I don't normally post much on here but watch everyone post with interest  it has been fun though and I deffo want to carry on posting not just through the winter but all seasons as I love all types of weather... I guess I was a bit worried at first as my lack of knowledge with the models felt like I didn't have a clue I still don't lol. Oh gawd I'm rambling must be that time of night!

Anyway, there is showers coming over Kidderminster area at the moment that could be of interest to north east area of our region just hope the PPN holds on for you all. :)

Lashing down with snow here now in the strong wind, settled from what I can see (live in the sticks so no street lights!)
