Is that it then or are there more showers expected? Still drizzling here with a temp of 1 and dew point of 0................ Can't help feeling that's not it......hopefully :fool:

Looking at the radar and there's a cluster of showers edging SE towards the West Country.

Just hope the squad aren't out on the Welsh mountains.

Indeed and whilst more hit and miss, I am more optimistic about these showers IMBY point of view. It could amount to nothing but it is almost like hunting thundery showers in summer

Not as bad as non event of 2013 but after days of the forecast suggesting heavy snow for hours to end with a few wet flakes for 5 minutes and now clear is a bitter pill. Shower activity is starting though hoping to get under a streamer now.

Temps and dew point rising slightly here now, and snow has stopped to a few flurries. Radar shows moderate to heavy precipitation above, but not much happening at the surface?

Same here. Snow has stopped but radar says otherwise!

Hmm those showers don't seem to be fading... if anything intensifying.

But will it be cold enough. According to Wunderground it's 1.4c with a -1 dew point IMBY.

So frustrating in situations like these... You watch them tentatively as they track the whole country (wales) only to die of death in the channel :wallbash:

I take it the snow is falling in the south East dare not go in that thread.

Showers coming onto the peninsula now. Mix or rain sleet and snow. As yet the orientation of the streamers are not heading to this locale. Some tweaks required.

Think the gutting thing is I had really thought no work tomorrow. Made plans for it but to no avail.

Being local to swanage for my childhood anyone know how bad the flooding is?

Nowt on the local news concerning flooding in Swanage. My son was in Corfe all day and lots of rain, but no issues there. Mapantz might have heard something..

Flood information service has an alert posted here https://flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk/target-area/111WAFPURB

No don't look in there. :sorry:

Although the current conversation in there seems to be more about lights flickering than snow.
