Readily turning to wet snow now, down to 1.7c AT and I guess there is another hour or two of precipitation to come for those in central locations too. Will be a dodgy commute later for a great number of people, please stay safe one and all.

Settling on all surfaces now, AT not far from freezing level by the rush hour, ouch. Still some life in this depression yet and I would expect a fair amount of snow over parts of the SE over the coming few hours.

0.9c. Dewpoint 0.3c. Snowing still. Settling on cars and grass a little, slushy accumulation thus far.

A temperature drop of 4c in 1 hour is impressive ...An hour ago it was 4.6 now 0.5c! Oh and it's snowing here btw. Went from rain to snow in 20 minutes ...

Same @Mapantz I've gone from 2.3 to 2.7 :wallbash:

The heavy precip we had, was pulling the colder upper air down with it. Now that it has moved on, temperatures beginning to move back to where they should be.

Hello my friends!

Ah good - am in Reading still at work and I think it has started sleeting here - refection from office makes it tricky to see the lampposts ha ha!!! let me know if it starts to ramp up back at our Manor :friends:

All done here, a back edge flurry is how i would describe it, can now see a chink of sunset in the distance.

Lets hope we can get some showers passing through tonight when the air is colder.

Looks like parts of the south east could do quite well if the ppn intensity is high enough.

For those in the West Country still chasing their first snowflake, the 12z Arome model;

aromehd-1-13-0.png

aromehd-1-14-0.png

And the consistent 12z Hirlam model;

hirlamuk-42-12-0.png

hirlamuk-42-13-0.png

hirlamuk-42-14-0.png

Continue to model the threat of overnight snow showers on the moors of the SW & later, crossing the West Country.

Those chasing next weeks "easterly", don't bother venturing into the MOD thread.

Dusting on the grass and cars, better than last years pathetic excuse for a winter!
