Just checked METO app and I now have an hours heavy snow predicted at 1700. Can't get excited about that as I'm working til 7.

No temp change here in Gosport for last hour. Current Temp: 7.3C Dew Point: 6.4C Wind: Average: 2.5mph Gusting: 3.5mph backing from SW to SSE. Rain: 3.4mm Rate: 1.8mm/hr Light Drizzle.

I'm currently working up by cox tor/white tor. 3 degrees and snowing though its more wet snow so not settling.... yet!

METO have just done the same to me too. Suspect it may be something to do with the expected intensity, not heavy enough for evaporative cooling.

Large drops of rain here now and up to 5.0mm from 3.4mm just 30 minutes ago. Temperature still steady at 7.3°C.

Raining steadily here, temperature 6.4C. Not expecting anything muchin the way of snow, maybe a shower or two overnight.

Maxed out at 6.2 here now 5.7 so slowly on the down. That said I think that is because of the rain getting heavier mind ...

The colder air doesn't arrive until winds have shifted out of the current WSW quarter and veers to the NW. This process is beginning as can be seen on the XC wind observation site where the temperatures has fallen off to 3C  on Exmoor with the boundary stretching down the Bristol Channel across Devon and South Cornwall.

Hopefully we will see those 0/10s becoming 8/10s later as it sweeps through ...certainly though nearer rush hour one to track..... I remember the thunderstorm event in the 90s and if it wasn't for seeing people's reactions as it came down from Birmingham with "white out, white out" all the way to Reading, I doubt I would have ever made it home that night...

Doesn't look like we are going to get snow here in Gosport. But then again if I remember rightly during the last snow event the MetO forecast sleet and we ended up with a brief snow shower. Rain: 5.2mm Rate: 5.2mm/hr. Temps stable.

Something else worth noting; pressure is a lot lower than what the GFS projected..

It's currently 997.87hPa here.
