Im thinking the METO will put out an amber warning soon, rain means no gritting can be done so roads could become awful should even a small amount lie...maybe the east of our region would see this too.

I think amber is hopeful...

Lets wait for it to turn to sleet first eh. :hi:

To our SE I don't think it's hopeful, rush hour wet snow is really not good.  Even if it's only a few mm of the stuff - I don't think our region will get Amber, but the east of it could get some snow so you never know.

The meto will be monitoring it closely and not want to install panic if not necessary of course.

OK so what's the prize for the FIRST snow photo captured TODAY from within our area, and posted within this thread? (Date & time data showing :) )

(Probably an awful lot of likes)

Hoping chap, problem is I'm in work today so I might have to claim it via a webcam which someone conveniently has across the road from me!

METO and BBC web now back to 2 hours of heavy snow - I've never seen so much flip flop, I can't see it changing back to 3 unless the front stalls a little

2 hours is still not bad though. Especially if it's big wet flakes!

I have my solution....I've got lots of pics of my garden covered in snow, lots taken from the perspective of just outside the French windows, so.....if I get the best looking one with the deepest snow printed on a roller blind, I can just unfurl it when the forecast fails to deliver the dream. Other than a couple of confused spaniels excitedly wanting to play outside, what could possibly go wrong?

Available to all... http://printedrollerblinds.co.uk/?gclid=CjwKEAiA79zDBRCgyf2FgeiY-CESJABzr0BMdA5CE9F8PBKJOscIaXHLq_7uwKHcmLhtrx9C4Fl_0BoCHeHw_wcB
