Tour 1 and flight options

Arriving on Monday 8 May with Adam from LHR to DFW. 15.55 arrival time all being well!

Arriving Friday 5th. Going to spend a couple of days doing the tourist bit.

AT&T stadium, 6th Floor, Dealey Plaza, Reunion Tower, 6 Flags ,maybe, The Star at Frisco, Fort Worth , Billy Bobs Texas on the Saturday sounds like fun ,Steppenwolf are playing.

Due to land Monday 8th at 17.37 at Dallas Love airport. Anybody else due to arrive at Dallas Love rather than Dallas Fort Worth on tour 1?

As most of us will be using DFW to arrive ( there's always one ,BSC!) where do we go to get the Hotel shuttle for the Best Western?

I can't see anything on the DFW website , just a transfer to the car rental pickup. 

Is this where we have to get to to collect the hotel shuttle?

If no one has an idea I'll have to trawl BW to find an email address

Hi Mark

Paul will be sending out the info packs 2 weeks before the chasing begins which is this wednesday so all the info will be in there. The Best Western Shuttle Bus picks up from Car Rentals I believe (Someone will correct me if I am wrong on this) so get to arrivals go outside, turn right and you will see the big blue car rental buses, get to car rentals and then call the Best Western and the airport shuttle bus will pick you up free of charge.

Thanks for that. It makes sense or else they'd be paying a toll every time they made an airport run.

They actually pick you up from the terminal rather than car rentals. You need to phone them though and ask to be picked up, they'll ask what terminal and then give you rough idea of where to wait (between gate 22-26 for example). Usually just head outside when you pick your bags up and you'll see the signs and buses picking everyone up. You can get a cab but it is expensive for such a short journey, about $25!

Guessing the shuttle is only for DFW airport? Banking on having to get a taxi from Love Field.

i'll try and contact the hotel and see if they collect from Love Field. If not, I have already checked the Uber price. Getting quotes of $18.25 from airport to hotel

Not bad that, to be honest. From experience US taxis can be bloody expensive.

Do let us know if they do pick up from Love Field please!

I think they only do picks ups from dfw or within a two miles radius for other locations such as the TRE.

 This is a very early sample of the first charts for the 8th May. Low pressure over the Rockies and a high over the southeastern States bringing up the heat and moisture from the Gulf. Obviously way to early days to be of much confidence, however it's a good appetizer ;-)

It can all kick off on the 10th.  This could have been part of the same prediction from earlier this month that was looking at the 5th-10th being active. I thought to myself then, hold on a couple of days.

They don't pick up from Love Field Nick, so taxi it is. Anyone else flying into Love Field on the 8th May for tour 1? Happy to share a taxi if you are.
