Just wondering if I'm ok to post in here or will this post disappear too? I make 2 posts in the MAD thread and both get removed. Then again I suppose I'm not a daily poster or of great knowledge so my posts are seen as irrelevant in there. Won't be posting again if that's how it is

If you're not in the club you'll get dealeted as I dare say this will

I'm not in the club! as a mild, warming winters believer, and I certainly don't fish 4 likes, and do a 'like' count

Turning into a none descript event.

Gonna take a break for 5 days or so .

Truly hope some of the big hitters in the model thread prove me wrong

What's the doom and gloom about?  There could be a frost or two in the next week or so - something to look forward to...

Could it be a snow-free winter for many?  I wouldn't be surprised...

And yes, someone will come on and say they've had 15 snow events this winter and it's been great - arghhhhhhh!!!!

Good for you - you have had your snow-fix.  Pity us who are still waiting (for nearly 5 years in my case!)

It will be five years in March since we have had lying snow here.Doesnt look like any lying snow for next week now.

However the semi reliable time frame is about 5 days ahead. So still time for a change in the models.None of the very cold looking charts were in the reliable time frame anyway,so I wasn’t expecting cold until I see it nearer the reliable time frame.

I'm a member of an Irish forum and the last week got about 4 comments.  Reason being is its properly moderated and cold ramping isn't tolerated  (at least too much of it) Sadly this forum is the complete opposite where cold ramping is tolerated indeed encouraged. Following on then anyone who posts a reasoned post is basically mugged on the model thread until he shuts up. This shouldn't be allowed and has lead to many experienced members leaving. Why not award those who are right, who said the gfs  isn't rubbish, who said a mix of all 3 is very possible, who said the cold uppers were always in FI. Why not stand up for these people for calling it right. But no bullying at its worst continues!

I’m impressed by gfs it never once showed a decent Easterly like the other models. However still time for change as the Easterly is only just entering the semi-reliable time frame.

There will be a few Met professionals with egg on their faces following their tweets predicting a lengthy ‘very cold’ spell from this weekend. Of course things can turn around quickly, but it’s not looking very likely at the moment!

Maybe it best to not make any sort of forecast beyond 5 days  any more including the pros  ,as-none of the models seem to be able to be  accurate. enough after 5 days. more especially if their is an Easterly on the horizon.Look at all the drama this week and the differences in the ECM and GEM in the space of 24 hours since yesterday .

Bah. It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. The gullible beleiving the same rampers each time and the rampers inventing what the models will show on the next runs. They get a pass for it each time as well.

Ay, like saying GFS won't be correct in not modelling an E'ly, ECM = fail
