To be fair when there's actually some weather to moan about it's ok

So are you saying that when there isn't any weather to moan about it's ok for us all to dig each other out?

From reading the thread it's all banter/sarcasm which is fine in this thread. Any problems please report to the team and not air in here.

Thanks.

As long as it's light hearted I see no harm

Yes I wholeheartedly agree, if it's light hearted banter then it's fine. What's happening in here though isn't banter. Guy's are digging out people who are not even posting in here which is completely different.

Ok fine. I'm not going to derail the thread further. But if you guys are happy with what you call "banter" then why not direct it straight to the people you're posting it about. See if they think it's banter.

Just expect by 18th or so of Nov, to be zero sign of HP to our N, and to be replaced by raging PV, gales and rain

Don't we get this every Nov though? good NH profile, northern blocking? surely it's because it's only Nov and PV not fully developed yet, wait until Dec, when PV will be fully developed and aggressive

.....to give us a more potent cold plunge:rofl:

I don't understand what you mean by "self forecasting". But if the models are showing snow, even if it is out at 240+ hours then it's fair game, as after all it is the model thread. Anyone in said thread should be aloud to post about what is showing in the models without having to be dug out in this thread.

Personally, I think there needs to more realism and caution in the Model Discussion thread when outputs in FI show atypical setups.  Honest discussion isn't a problem, but some members make unsubstantiated claims based on dubious evidence which misled me when I first joined this forum and which, I fear, misleads others at present.

Default setting in our part of the world is mild ,cold incursions should be taken with a pinch of salt any further out than T 120 ,imo

You are on the money with this post Chris:friends: I'm sure some do it just for their egos and to boost their like accounts:rofl: Like a certain poster who on a yearly basis, tells NW members to ignore the weather models because they know better and an easterly is on the way and the sheep follow and believe them for some reason, instead of weather forecasts :cc_confused:, Guess what, it hasn't happened yet, they haven't been right, this is not being nasty to said poster, I'm just stating a fact.
