Yeah similar here & last night was horrible too, not felt that humid for ages. 85% humidity indoors plus the added temp on the rise makes for uncomfortable sleeping when the air con is off. Hopefully not many days like this remaining now we are close to Autumn.

Couldn't agree more, thankfully the shorter days are making sleeping easier. The countdown to Autumn is on so at least that makes up a little bit also!:)

GFS is probably overdoing things with the 28c, but something around 25c in the SE isn't out of the question! For those in the NW, please continue to moan about the crud weather in the mid to high teens!

That would be incredible if it verified! Almost a 20C between London and mid Wales.

The emerging trend doesn't bode well for the winter if this september follows recent years. That damn continent needs to cool down soon. No signs of it though.

Looking at the Ecm 12z day 10 chart, the coldie in me couldn't help noticing a very early taste of Northerly Arctic air being drawn south, not too far north of the uk.:cold::D..

So near, yet so far. The story of the coming winter no doubt.

A lovely and warm few days to come in my part of the UK, so very welcome after suffering 5 weeks of perma-Autumn.

Good job you don't live further north then it would feel like 'perma-Autumn', here in the south east max temps have generally been around 70f or so the last few weeks, hardly autumn but it has been generally breezy with some rainfall so maybe in that regard.

We've been lucky to reach 70F, completely pathetic for 'high summer'. What a crap second half to summer and another extremely dull August. At least the next few days offer something better, finally.

You'll like the end of the GEM 12z control run. Real cold blast if I'm reading it right.

Its still there on today's 0z control, but doesn't seem as potent as yesterday. It does have some semblance on the mean run though.

Why would anyone want a cold blast at this time of year, unless it's cold enough to produce snow, and at this time of year it never will be. 10C below average in late August is 8-11C, that annoying temperature where it's too warm for snow and too cold to be comfortable outside.

Funny how cold charts last about as long as an icecream in phoenix isn't it? Coldies best get used to it.
