Latest GFS output is horrifying quite frankly. Very depressing stuff.

ECM seems a little less bad later on.

To be expected, as you have said late Jul/early Aug is high summer, I'd say mid Jul to mid Aug

does it?... maybe up your end but its looking pretty normal, in any sun itll be nice, low humidity too in the fresher air.. as long as its not too wet and overcast it wont be too bad.

This time next week looks way below average with N/NW flow to me?

it's especially hard on scotland where summer has failed to even begin yet

Re Frosty's post on the MOD thread - I can't vouch for all Scotland but, my area has experienced a good few days of warm and pleasant summery weather - just how I like it.

Nothing to cheer about with today's output. Reminds me of horror shows like 2012.

When heat lovers see hot weather in the output and feel a sense of despair - well, this is what the rest of us feel like when there is nothing but low pressure and troughs in the output.

This kind of weather seriously makes me consider emigrating.

Not really looking to bad at all for the next week of so at least, certainly more comfortable. Could be a tad warmer i agree but in the sunnier spells should be nice enough:)

Well a few days ago, my garden office registered 33C and I was forced to sleep on the living room floor for 3 nights.  Short of shelling out for a portable air conditioner, it's too hot.

I'd be happy with 17-22C, if only the sun would appear.  Looking cloudy though for the foreseeable (which is quite an achievement in June given the height of the sun in the sky).

22C is fine, 17C is unacceptably cool.

Feels cool in the wind right now, especially when the sun isn't shining.

I think the word cool is very subjective, for many 20c and a breeze is not cool, for some it's coats on stuff. Next week and beyond is basically normal UK weather, bit of everything and so much more usable than the week just gone. Plus the good nights sleep helps so many!

Not really, but minimums of 6 or 7 degrees is cold enough for the heating.
