still hoping for snow Fri-Sat, but yes, as it will thaw, lets hope for proper Spring, and not temps stuck around 6°

A frigid few days with snow showers and maybe some surprise heavier falls for the lucky ones before temps recover to 6-8 degrees for a few days next week. After that it's anyone's guess but it's looking like staying cold so spring still on hold I'm afraid.

Ah, OK, I wasn't aware of that. I can never make head nor tail of what they're talking about on the MAD thread. I appreciate your encouraging post though and will allow myself one more bout of excited anticipation.

It's still not going to get particularly cold. 3c during the day, if you're lucky.

When I think of what we were being tantalised with last week, it really is a let down. I was expecting sub zero days with lying snow! Should have known better really. Ah, well, lesson learned...........until next time!!

On the 1-10 scale of non-events, this 'cold' spell will rank top in that non-event list. Never been such a non-event since inauguration of Hilary. And like that non-event this one never even started.

Yeah, it's only Thursday. so shoot me.

It may only be Thursday but I think we all know this cold snap is almost certainly a lost cause now.

Just in case certain members from the Model Output Discussion thread decide to pop by...

'To' is a preposition which begins a prepositional phrase or an infinitive.
'Too' is an adverb meaning "excessively" or "also.

It's really not that difficult!

Yeah I think that's partly to blame.  The other reason must be my advancing years!

As much as you all complain, high pressure rules the roost for at least another week. Boring and snowless for some, but it's not that bad.

I'd like to see a post that said we were getting a beast from the east, because I haven't seen one!

It was more banter from me than anything serious, you know the title of this thread.
