Care must be taken not to transpose anomalies into surface features :shok:

I loved the sunshine today, looking forward to more frosty days on the way. Nothing to moan about at all except the amount of coughing I am doing, and the way cough mixture doesn't seem to work.

And a friend who lives in Murcia, Spain said that the snow is blizzard like. Apparently coldest winter for 35 Years and forecast to continue. Shame we are not 2000 miles nearer to the med. I said last Week that Spain would get a dumping.

Yep quite bizarre scenes that far south but it'll all be gone very soon as temperatures head up into double figures. Can imagine the locals are having a great time. Not those seeking winter sun though!

-4 outside again, plenty of windscreen scrapping to do. No sign of the warm SW zephyrs :cc_confused:

Don't know why people get so hung up on an easterly...it's not going to happen. If pressure rises again as shown on ECM and gfs we end up with a very mild southerly in no man's land for weeks....Again!  If the Atlantic kicks in at least we get some interest in brief spells of pm air in between systems.....never thought I'd say this, but after the bore fest of a winter so far I'm cheering on the Atlantic!

Absolutely no way there will be a true E'ly, hard to get nowadays, but a weak E'ly already in the south today until Sunday, few snow flurries likely in far S/SW

Indeed, looks pretty cold across much of England and wales over the coming 7 days with frosts quite common.

I shouldn't worry about snow flurries but yes quite cold over the UK for the weekend but hopefully our micro climate should keep us out of too much trouble. Anyway cracking morning here so I'm off to see Sidney.

Yeah, can't see there being any issue with snow in the SW anytime soon. Maybe some flakes over the hills, but nothing low level. Question is, are we going to see the blowtorch SW'erlies and 14c??
