3.7c please circa 1 to 1.5 below average.  Chilly HP 1st 3rd.  Stormy around 11-16 NW flow, really cold for North but CET not so much. HP and average following week, cold N/NW flow Xmas very stormy and wintry pM air, milder new year.

I'm going to go for a rather conservative 4.4C please, mainly due to the recent uncertainty in the outlook.  So, a below average month but not significantly so.  However, December could well turnout to be somewhat colder than my guess.......

GEFS clusters now showing a majority pulling the Atlantic High back westwards by mid-month now, so guessing it will turn colder at least for time between Dec 10 and Dec 20 (if it ever warms up at all).

Please edit my guess to 3.3C.

Sort of setup I expect for Dec, only early in month, but expecting PV to develop fully around its greenie home, maybe signs already on image, yes a 'cherry picked' chart, but we all do it!

Still what I'm expecting from around 8th, no change in my 5.9 prediction yet, may up it later, although it's dec tomorrow yikes!

Latest GFS would have the CET in the high 3s by the end of the first week, so nearly 2C below the 81-10 rolling average. From there, who knows!

Still pondering my guess, the table of entries will be posted now and edited at midnight ...

So far, 80 forecasts, the median is a chilly 3.9 C, and the two highest guesses so far (unless anyone edited) were tied for the missing link of 5.9 C (also LG at 12.0 but seriously?)

The coldest is --2.0, with +1.0 next coldest.

For the benefit of late arrivals, these values remain open for guesses ... (will strike any that replace these in a later edit)

1.1, 1.2, 1.4 to 2,3 ... 5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.8 ... anything 6.0 and higher
