kids were so excited at a dusting im actually considering throwing the toys out the pram as I cant imagine how excited they would get by enough to get the sledge out...

the feature that appeared on the euros this morning as bang over us at 8pm does not fit with the warnings ceasing at 8pm

then again maybe a good thing given recent non events when warnings are given

Same here - the kids were delighted to see the pathetic sprinkling this morning - it really was nothing. I thought last year was bad but I honestly think this year could trump it!!

ridiculously this is better than last year...not even a dusting last year....had a 2 inch fall last year that melted before could get out in it to play

Heavy snow shower, roads covered in 5mins. Off out for a drive...

Passing over here too. Pretty heavy mix of mix of snow, graupel and hail. Shower activity seems to be picking up a wee bit again for here.

I love it when I'm wrong. Heaviest snow shower yet right now and it's starting to lie

Thundersnow here in East Kilbride!  A flash of lightning just there and the place seems to have disappeared in a great cloud of white.

Also here.

Wintry showers continuing in the west this afternoon but dry in the east. Late evening and overnight a band of heavier snow crossing the north of the PKC area and clearing by 02:00 giving accumulations of 1-3cm at low levels and 5-15cm above 300m level. Minimum overnight rst of -5.0c for north and -4.0c for south leading to ice formation in all areas.

ach well not sounding good then being in the south of perth and Kinross...... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not long back from Glasgow, journey only about an hour longer than usual due to the conditions, so no bad going. Was pretty tasty at points but nothing too tricky. Passed the jackknifed lorry that was partially blocking the southbound side near Ralia

Back here at the house, about 10cms of very powdery cover, nothing spectacular but obviously welcome nonetheless. Maxed at -2c and awaiting whatever the north is sending..

Seriously not amused. Scotland is obviously in the wrong place and we need to move it!

Just had a couple of hefty showers there but not on long enough to leave anything worth talking about. Still very cold though, blue skies coming through again!

Nice! Looking forward to seeing how much they miss me by!

Anyone fancy a wee game? Radar screenshot of the closest passing shower without anything falling at your location :D

Very cold still just above freezing and snow contiues to sift across the fields in the fresh wind. Noticed on the radar a more organised band of showers/feature coming into the north of Scotland this falls as sleet at sea but snow overland. There also appears to be a change to snow showers over the sea on its back edge or is the radar playing up. Could be some really cold air coming in tonight if its correct and it will get very frosty
