Have to say I'm enjoying spring.

So moved on from winter now.

Maybe it's me, but have snowdrops not lasted a long time this year?

They're only just finally dying away at the house yet the crocii are well up and daffs opening too.

Crackin day again out there.

Yes snowdrops being going since January still going strong here and daffs just starting to open in     sheltered spots. Great to be back on the fields which are driyng up very fast. Strong wind is only drawback kickig up the dust when you  move about, currently  9.8c

Well..... this is a tad confusing.......

Even the air pressure is massively wrong - it's currently 7C and 1023.3mb - has something gone horribly wrong with the NMM?

They came out early along the River Ness in Inverness and still in full bloom!

Working at just under 400ft above the moray firth across from Inverness and it's currently snowing sideways, where is HC when it's snowing on the Black Isle!? Been a rotter of a day up until now with blustery showers and a raw wind

Same shower has just hit us temperature has gone from 9c to 4c as shower started as hail and finishing as snow. No spring warmth here anymore.Approximately 10000 geese in one of our grass fields yesterday. Not heading north yet. I still think we have a bit of winter weather to see yet. Its only a few years ago when there was powder snow on the mountains to ski on up to the 17th of June.

Cold again this morning at 1.9c but with less wind. Hills white down to a thousand feet but at our height its just sleet with ground surface wet again this morning.

Wee covering this morning, with a fuzzy, overcast drive to work

image.thumb.jpeg.2990ed3504ff3b0420a8768cbd9584f0.jpeg

Snow cover locally down to the lower parts of strathnairn (450ft). All very tame again though, nowhere near the huge March snowfalls we've seen in the past, with days of snowfall. Bitter wind to work in

Aye, seems 'second winter' has arrived right on time.

First spring was nice while it lasted.

Few snaps of the day's walk with family and dugs.

Headed out of Lauder on the Southern Upland Way in the direction of Longformacus via Thirlestane Castle grounds.

Windy and a bit chilly, but sun was out for a good part of it. Very mid March.

...I went to Edin's Hall Broch on Friday, it's a couple of miles away from Abbey St Bathans. It's an awesome place, raining when I was there but I'll go back on a decent day:

That looks sufficiently cool to be worth a visit. A mate of mine lives in Abbey St. Bathans; lovely area.

Just back from visiting family down in Lancashire. It literally rained for the duration of my visit.:D Not used to such rain living in the relatively dry east coast of Scotland!

Was just checking the March temperature anomalies which are currently running a degree or so above average. Having said that looks like a cold few days coming up, though should be mostly dry over here.

It was a decent weekend up this way, typical for the time of year with a cool breeze but a warm sun. So depending on the exact combination you went repeatedly from cold to warm to comfortable.

Looking like a much colder feel to the weather this week, winter's last shot? I doubt I'll see anything other than a couple of frosts though and I'm content with that as I'd rather just get on with spring now.

Am liking the wee snaw forecast for the next few days. Not going to buried but a nice dusting will make it look pretty again for a while, and beats the pish of the last few days.

Showers on Monday evening, overnight and into Tuesday morning will fall increasingly as snow and hail, with accumulations mainly on hills but locally to lower levels too. Ice is also likely to form on untreated surfaces, whilst lightning may be an additional hazard. This may lead to some transport disruption and difficult driving conditions.

:shok:

This invokes visions of folk swerving wildly to avoid bolts striking the road in front of them.
