A very wet start to the day here. 4.8c here so not even a sleety mix.

Front definitely seems to have stalled as it was supposed to have stopped raining even in the East by the middle of the night.

Great though for my son and his class mates who are at Glenshee for the week on a school trip. That's if they can get to the slopes today as the snow gates are shut. Looks like they are working on it though...

Might have to look at a trip there myself at the weekend as the forecast for the rest of the week is looking promising.

NW IMBY forecast for this week has Stirling at 90% chance of snow from Thursday PM through Friday, but I'm just not seeing any ppn in (gfs admittedly) charts.

We were forecasted and issued with an ice warning for here this morning which hasn't materialised.   Sitting under medium, steady rain at the moment. 1.9c/1.5c.

Wee touch of snow on the hill though.

Rain at home at 133 metres, sleet/wet snow at work in Greenock at sea level, and this in between on the way there.

Nice pics! looks white at home back in south Glasgow from the m77 cams.  No doubt I'll leave Durham on Thursday and miss all of the snow events as usual:nonono:

Current radar picture with the precipitation more snowy looking than was anticipated. The band just ever so slowly creeping eastwards. GFS precipitation charts (unreliable of course) still has this band of precipitation over the bulk on central Scotland until around midnight before it fragments and clears east.... I'd be amazed if it didn't fragment before that! ..... go on, amaze me!!

Oh Gawd!    Samaritan phonelines must be very busy this morning I see.   Usual suspects overreacting to what they see as the cold spell collapsing before its begun.   They're all men too!  (No offence to ours on here of course!:D)
