Quite hypnotic watching it falling.   Only sleety stuff but was on for a couple of hours.   Nice to see all the same!:)

If anyone mentions easterly next season, I think I shall curl up and die!!   What a waste of a winter chase.

Wet snow here but not lying in this part of town at least. Trying though.

Been on and off most of the day, melted a bit when temp rose to 1.7C,  but now seems to be settling and covering everything again. Hills and fields are still pure white. Sky looks very heavy.

It's wet but it's white. Yep, it's snowing!

Starting to lay on the grass now.

After a morning of much dreichness we now have lovely blue skies! Not so much as a sniff of anything white or cold, but the sunshine is very welcome!

About an inch up in the Lomonds. I feel a dawn ramble is on the cards before it all melts :)

Might take a walk up there with the dog tomorrow :)

It probably won't come to much, the precipitation should start to clear later but it's ice we need to watch for overnight. There will be sub-zero temps for some of us and ground frost for others but an ice risk for most of us:

Managed a boot an inch o' snaw here and all is white. Hoping that it stays overnight and ah will get the wee fella oot oan the sledge in the mornin!

Darkness has brought snow for my location. Very large snowflakes, easily 50p size, some larger. The ground is very wet with the constant rain throughout the day but it is starting to lie.

1.2C here now but still looks more sleet than snow. Been wet to varying degrees most of the day.

Heavy snow here with massive flakes.  Settling readily.  My parents in Kemnay say there isn't anything there which backs up Ravelin's comment above.

1C and slight icing on the coast near Buckie - haven't been inland but could be a slippy start for many near here.  Also a rather ominous glowing sunrise...

Later... nothing ominous about that, just a nice calm, cold and clear morning now!

A fine, icy, still morning with a peachy glow at sunrise.  Temp -2C earlier.  Excellent conditions for an early morning walk.  Snow confined to elevation.

My doggie is having a week's reprieve before her surgery.

Please God, NO!!!!!      I thought I would at least  get to next season before the MOD started blabbering on about another possible easterly!  (Hope it's gone in the next run!)

Anyhoo........Icy here too this morning

I'm afraid she has been diagnosed with an aggressive adenocarcinoma and was "staged" last week, at which time she was supposed to start her treatment.  The small animal oncology unit at the "Dick" vet in Edinburgh, is a great resource, but is a very busy place. The plan is surgery, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Temp was zero at 6am, saw the gritter on the A7. Now bright sun and blue skies.

Bennachie and hills to our West looking as white as I've seen them all winter this morning. Nothing in the village of course.

Lovely sunny morning.

Bright and frosty. Roads icy here too. Great to be in clear Atlantic air!
