The very lightest of dustings. About as 'non-event' as I suspected so far sadly.

Forecast doesn't suggest much cheer either.

Same as 101although I expect more tonight as it appears a more organised band passing down whole country...hope for a cm or 2 from that......hope the key word

Terrifying ‘polar airmass’ from Canada to batter North with 100mph winds and snow today

Seem to be catching a more prolonged shower at the moment and starting to get a covering.

We have a dusting - maybe a cm or so - with the temp hovering just about 0C. More flakesdrifting around with a mostly clear sky but there still appear to be incoming showers...

Got a dusting during the night not even worthy of a photo. Was raining when I left for work. It turned to hail and by the time I got to Killie it was all gone.

Will see see what the rest of the day brings.

Morning snow fiends! Anyone actually having to dig themselves out of a four foot drift today? It's currently 2.1c here and we had something battering off the windows during the night, I suspect rain! Not checked outside yet but I suspect all will be remarkably green! :cold:

Repeating @edo - a very very light covering here too. A snow sneeze really,

Wasn't expecting anything though, so still nice to see white rooftops and on the little roads. Im driving to Blairgowrie this morning, so hoping for a picturesque drive.

Well, a reasonable dusting here and snowing moderately at the moment.

The morn looks like my best bet, yet I need to head to Edinburgh to work.

Congrats HC - a cm is not to be sniffed at!

Needless to say nothing to report from Broughty Ferry or St Andrews.

SS you must have what just passed over me half an hour ago. Only got a few cms here but it's not wet and it's lying. Husband says is minus 1.6 now. Gritter was in this village at 7.15 - a world first!

@CatchMyDriftyeah that'll be our fellow. Looks quite well defined already, no idea what to look for.

Could be a good day for gritter tracking. There's about 8 holed up at the Longman depot just now, presumably the start of the all-day breakfast shift. What we don't see are the wee council gritters or pedestrian ploughs - the ones that gather up stray dogs and OAPs - as they move too fast and slip under the radar.
