Temp went down to 1.9c a wee while ago but has now scooted up to the dizzy heights of 3.2c. Clear skies and a stonking full moon too, looks mair than braw! I doubt I'll  wake to a white out tomorrow morning but to those of you who do, enjoy!

That happened to us early this morning and @Ravelin but once it topped out (at 10.3) it then dropped fairly quickly.

That's probably true, Norrona2015, given that England's population is ten times that of Scotland,

If you were going to bet £20 on the nationality of those rescued it'd have been my choice too, purely down to population numbers, proximity, past experience etc, nothing to do with racism.

Oh and all 4 were found safe, 2 airlifted off the summit (congrats on doing that in this weather) and 2 found by mountain rescue on the lower slopes.

Just took the recycling out to the bin (cos nobody else ever does) and it's snowing lightly. Still windy and 2.2C.

Needless to say it's dry here. 2c. Nice to read the reports of snow starting to filter in. Fair way to go until my predictions are verified though.:D

So far we've had one solitary snaw shower. Was a nice enough one, but 10 mins of light snaw just doesn't cut the mustard.

On the longer term outlook, 12z ecm looking very blocked again.

Muslim is not a nationality. I know it's not meant harmfully but I find that a bit offensive.

Jeez. We can't even laugh in the face of adversity these days?

My friends and colleagues of 20 years wouldnt find it offensive; sorry that you did. I'm quite aware their religion is not a nationality and my wife's one of those 'furriner migrants' the Mail likes to blame for stuff. We all make light of bigots like I was impersonating as best we can.

Anyway,  returning to the snow.

I wonder what country the driver was from ..... oh I don't think I'll bother with that one  the lack of snow seems to have made some people a wee bit tetchy tonight
