Car said -1C an hour ago, coldest so far. Not bad for parking by the harbour!

NW forecast temps don't seem as reliable as the WU recently. No idea why.

Overnight low of -5.7C, coldest of the season so far. It was still -5.4C at 7:30 but has since climbed to the giddy heights of -4.6C.

Beautiful morning, cold, frosty, blue sky! What's not to like :)

I'll give up the chance of snow for a bit if it means this kind of settled weather over the usual autumn muck!

Same here.   Beautiful clear morning currently 0.6c with an overnight low of -0.3c and a slight frost.  I can just see the snowcapped Ochils in the distance on the webcam.

Slight dusting of wet snow at home overnight. Frozen solid on the car this morning. The high roads over to work in Greenock were sheet black ice with snow lying on the highest parts. Car on its roof between Lochwinnoch and Kilmacolm and no sign of any gritters.

Got a new set of winter tyres on the winter wheels yesterday so will get them on this weekend, and not before time.

I think the showers died away overnight but it became icy with a low of -0.7C. Had still only reached 0.0C when I left the house at half 9. Lovely clear, cold sunny morning.

There's a far chance of that looking at the current models as they all seem to agree now on high pressure moving over us for a few days at least.

Possible moving onto something more 'interesting' after that...

It seems to be a recurring theme in the last day or two, of the high dissipating/heading for Greenland and allowing colder air in from the NE. Long, long way off though and could easily change.

No, it's surprisingly calm and quiet. Get that last chart I posted down to day 5 though and I doubt it'll stay that way.

Highest temp yesterday was 5.3c, down to -1c at 6am this morning. Current temp 1.4c, clear skies, light cloud, frost, snow on high ground only. Might get a wee bit nippy tonight! Fire is on, heating likewise, wine breathing. Happy days! :D:cold:

All being said on a day when it was snowing on some places, the coldest night of the season was predicted in others etc....and as you pointed out, it's still mid Nov.

Funky light at on the slopes of Meall a' Bhuiridh at the moment. Glencoe will be running the Access Chairlift this weekend, but not quite enough snow for any of the surface tows to run - but enough for sledging and anyone willing to hike or with touring kit will be able to get some turns in. It's getting closer....

What a fantastic day:D

Woke up to a gorgeous cold and sunny day, white frost and -3 overnight.  Managed to hold on to my white (North facing) front garden all day and reached the dizzying heights of 3.2 today.  Even had a very brief snow shower around midday............................November days don't get much better than this:cold:

A fairly cold day here with a max of 2.6'C. A pretty penetrating frost from last night survived in places outwith direct sunlight.

Temperature dropping quickly right now, currently a touch above freezing.

Didn't expect the ice rink the way it was this morning here. Started sunny but had a few showers again this afternoon. Non too warm either. Fun and games with ice possibly again tonight

Very cold start this morning and a frosty drive out to Blairgowrie. Funnily enough relatives in the south west of England, who "never get snow" in their recurring words, have the white stuff settling today and we haven't seen anything here yet. Makes a change! Weather be a funny old thing and things can crop up quickly in the right setup.

Oh and hellooo as this might be my first post in yonkers! :D

lol so so true...I do like to visualise some of them sitting at their computers thrashing the keys in disgust at the 18z  at +240 whilst a surprise fall of 6 inches is happening outside their front door
