Heavy sleet here. Absolutely wasn't expecting that. My iPhone says the current outside temperature is 4C outside and expected to fall to 3C then 2C overnight and climb back up to 6C. Having said that it shows snow tonight at 8pm and 9pm.

Back home now. Snowing steadily with a covering. Currently 0.8. That's down from 1.4 it was when I came in.

Light rain here at the minute! That's all I'm expecting but I've still got the back light on for frequent, peek through the curtains, observations :D

Hmmm, outside light not working but looks like sleety rain in Falkirk.

Sleety rain in Grangemouth too although it is mainly rain. Temp is 3.0C now and dropped from 3.7C in the last hour. Dew point is -1.0C.

And the warning light to change the battery in my weather station is on. Won't be doing that tonight!

Nothing here yet, although the edge of the front isn't far away.

T = 2.7 C / DP = -0.2

Very wet snow here now, ground is sopping so it's not sticking but definitely snowflakes coming down. Who'd have thought it.

M74 Beattock certainly looks promising for what's heading my way.

EDIT,

Goes without saying that photos of snow are required by those lucky enough to get it!

Not so much as a hint of it changing to snow here at the minute. Pretty much expected in this setup. Still time......

Evening all, some interesting reports for so early in the season. 6c and cloudy here.

Not seen Norrance on here for a while but he and all others living in Dundee should be concerned about the upcoming winter since I've now moved to Broughty Ferry dragging my 6 year snow drought with me! ;-)
