Well atleast I can go to slepp safe in the knowledge that I will be seeing some snow tonight, maybe not the 5-10cm but by all means no bust..

North of a line of york ~ leeds ~ manchester should get a covering, further south I'd be a little bit worried.

Don't say that I promised the Mrs she would wake up to six inches in the morning!  How am I going to explain that?!  :nonono:

Do you think here in Leeds we won't get much?

My estimates would be 2-5 cm, really difficult to say as this is an evolving situation. But on our side with the air so cold every flake settles and continuess light snow overnight could easily give a few cm, we get some greens and yellow then could be more

luckily im 10 miles north west of leeds so have a little bit of room for menouver. We need to see some greens develop on the south eastern flank of this precipitation

It's pepping up around Scarborough/filey way(SE tip) so who knows.

Anything less than 5cm isn't really worth getting excited about. After all of the anticipation it's quite disappointing. The amber warning for our part of the world must surely be removed.

Il take a good covering of 4/5 cm powdery snow mate, for days I've felt this feature would be missing us so not complaining.

I agree with that we seem to have been under light snow all day but it just hasn't stuck.

We need a more intense band of snow to get the accumulation but it is looking touch and go for South Yorkshire at the moment I will admit.

It will not settle through the day if it's light,at night will have no problems, the temps haven't been low enough today for snow to settle but tomorrow onwards should have no problem due to low thicknesses and uppers.

Still pointless though. It would need to lightly snow for hours and hours for it to amount to anything more than 1/2cm.

Not sure about anyone else but cold for the sake of cold doesn't do anything for me, roll on spring.

Looks more like Friday/Saturday now. Not confident of that one though to be honest.

Yeah, I am really dubious as to whether that front makes it this far north. Just a gut instinct.
