The radars are really getting on my nerves, cant use my favourite rain today cos soon as the weather get interesting every ***** goes on there ruining it for everyone by taking the server down.

And the radar is missing a frame making it impossible to work out what is going on...

GFS 18z looks to be more North West of region, although still lots going on with many showers.

Oh poor sausage. Shall we elope to Lapland?

Even when it back tracks and gives him more potential he’s still not happy..

this is the weather we are talking about the saying “ No one can predict the weather “ Strings to mind.. which is absolutely correct they can only go on the information given provided at the time things can change on minute to minute hour to hour basis. Hence why these are forcast.

On another more positive note the system is really building up in the North Sea some guys will be loving it in the morning.. :D

seen this post in the mad thread

Desperate times call for desperate model hunting! The ICON-EU has just updated, 10-20cm of snow widely across the south, Midlands and Wales on Friday, 30-50cm for hills in the west, and up to 70cm in East Ireland!

Yeah it does seem that most of us snow lovers like to play down our chances when it comes to a good snow event.

I think people just worry unnecessarily alot of the time and FOMO gets to then but I am personally quite confident that much of our region will fare quite well from tomorrow morning and the rest of the week.

I suppose to me although I love cold and snow as much as the next nutter on these forums I do realise there are more important things in life and so I won' get too down if it all goes t*ts up.

That's why I like to be light hearted on here as it is an escape from the more serious stuff in life!  :)

Hi frosty, what are the chances here in ne Lincs that we might join the party later tonight and tomorrow? Thanks

Hi, you should get some snow later tonight and tomorrow morning but probably not as heavy as further north but hopefully you should get a covering and there is plenty more to come in the outlook so you will do well i'm sure:)

And it might be me seeing things but that feature in front of the main band as soon as it hit land it seemed to go in a more southerly track than south west when skipping between the frames on the radar, which is better for us, probably nonsense but staying positive

Absolutely. I'm moving house within the month and I'm very excited about it, but my stupid brain has these priorities right now...

1) Jeez I really hope it snows tomorrow morning

2) and I hope we get lucky with snow streamers through Tues pm and Wednesday/Thurs

3) oh and hopefully Friday's frontal snow makes it this far north intact

4) oh I'm moving house, too.

5) remember to eat, sleep, function.

I was just thinking that.  The band ahead of the heavier stuff seems to be expanding on its Eastern edge and should be here by midnight at this rate!

Interesting....:cc_confused:

I think between Darlington down to Thirsk would be the prime location judging by the radar. York, Leeds and Bradford hard hit as well.

Under rated model in my opinion!  It is prone to wild swings though!

Friday's snow event on the GFS 18z delayed to Friday night/ Saturday morning - though seems to stall a little which is good news. Of course much change still to come.
