I think the second blob will miss. I'm watching the blob coming out of Scotland towards Cumbria. That is on a much better trajectory and is intensifying with more behind. Could be our 11pm-12pm streamer

I will be in noddy land by then:nonono:

I might stay up as I am off work tomorrow.  Probably won't be worth it but you never know.

Edit you could be right it's started on a slightly further north trajectory we should get something

Second blob is looking like a direct hit to me.  Just worried about it dying out before it reaches us.

My radar shows 27 minutes snow with the next blob. We may get a centre metre of two. It's actually still intensifying. It should hit you about 21:55

Might catch the edge of it.  Radar definitely pepping up though with a streamer showing all the way up past Preston behind the shower so if the wind shifts a tad it is game on!

Waiting for the wind to turn more westerly and pull the showers into west Yorkshire

It's a shame cos there is no marginality and sods law we don't get the PPn:nonono:

The wind does seem to be switching a little now.

That blob just to the East of Preston might have our name on it.  Not very big though!

I would love to think so but i cannot see that heading our way,i am more interested in the streamers setting up northwest of that.

Yes you might be right actually I had not spotted that.  Lets hope the Euro4 was onto something with a streamer setting up over our area tonight.

Good Morning

Had a little dusting of the white stuff overnight!

Tomorrow looks interesting for parts of our region as well :p

Latest on the various models shows a mainly rain event for tomorrow.  Higher ground may get lucky.

Tomorrow looks interesting. Even if it does start as rain the chances of it turning to snow are pretty good. The 850's are a big marginal at the beginning but soon get ideal as cold air digs. So the only other factor is how rain does it produce. At the moment I'm expecting it to start off as rain low down but Snow on high ground this getting down to lower levels as cold air digs and atmospheric cooling by the rain takes place. Could the first real snow event of the winter.
