Just now, Hull snow said:

When will trough n persistent snow hit

I dont think there will be one here, it should just be these showers feeding in all night, where they align some places could get hammered

About 1cm now, plus already mini drifts of 2-3 inches.

Hopefully more on the way.... The big lump near Castleford has my name on it.

Well constant showers, but nothing to warrant an Amber Warning yet. I thought the showers were meant to merge to produce longer spells of snow this evening in our region? Maybe still time....

Well, the North Sea snow factory is working overtime tonight. A small army of heavy snow showers moving in across the region

Snowin’ and blowin’ all day long here in the Hope Valley. Drifts of a couple of feet on Bradwell Edge (paragliding drop-off). Shining sheets of verglas on the dry-stone walls and gritstone squeeze-stiles. Watching wind-whipped tiny snow tornadoes this eve on the white grasslands of the low valley floor; replacing the lumpy woollen missing sheep. The gloaming enhancing the luminous white spindrift shadows applauded by the rise and fall of bone-tree moaning; and frost-edged rivers are still trickling...darker, colder: into the night.

Snowing heavy here for the last few hours, only really stopped for a few minutes at a time, more snow tonight than we got from the real beast. Ok....but only issue is I will have to drive my daughter to work at 5am tomorrow morning. Foot deep drifts in back garden. About 2 inches elsewhere.
