Lovely warm spring day again. Coming brief cold snap looks quite potent pity it didn't happen in winter though. Had to top up one of the ponds which is rare for this time of year.

Yes we almost hit 17c today with a max of 16.4c.

Those in the North of the region with some elevation could see some settling snow tomorrow evening, however the feature does look to decay somewhat as it slides SEwards.

i would not be surprised to see some snow on the NY Moors over the next 48 hours ( and perhaps even the Yorkshire Wolds ).

Bloody typical for the first week of the outdoor tennis season !

Cold air just beginning to arrive but not bad outside despite the moderate breeze which probably will be the talking point of the weather round here.

Gusts around 40mph here and  humidity/depoints are low which also emphasises the cold.
Since the cold front showers have been trivial (but sleet/soft hail) and good sunny spells.

really good cloudscapes with both Cb types and now going up all around. Obvious when you look at the Doncaster skew-t diagram for now and into the evening. Hail shower 3/4 mile from me but nothing more than a few rain spots so far here

Snowing hard in Malton at the moment, but not settling, about 4C so probably wont. Tried to get a picture, but too dull with just a phone camera.

Yes plenty of sleet/wet snow showers here just outside Malton this morning, nothing settling unfortunately, however there was a good covering above 250m in the North York Moors this morning.

Now the talking point is a return of the dry weather. Just 0.3mm of rain this month following on from a dry April. On top it's pretty dry with cracked ground already.  Lunch time forecast going on about storms at the end of the week but  it looks very unlikely and a good chance we may make a dry week of it. There are signs of it becoming wetter although it wasn't long ago that the charts were showing a cold spell so again that could all change.

Well no rain here yet unless you count the dozen spots per paving slab at lunchtime as rain. We really need some rain here now, had a bike ride tonight and the fields look dusty. Looking at weather radar we could get some later, we shall see.

Silly forecast for my area tomorrow unbroken sunshine is going to bring torrential rain hail and thunder guess they didn't look before they posted the forecast http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcqzqsg8c#?fcTime=1435363200&date=2017-05-27

Me thinks instead of showing light showers and later unbroken sunshine they should posted thundery showers instead.

Well the further east you drive and further north you drive the better it looks. Off for a walk early doors so won't be checking the radar. Not expecting much for south and west Sheffield probably the normal watching the clouds go over and then develop into a storm.
