Ice pellets here too now, I'll declare it as 0.5cm accumulation, pretty poor to say it was snowing about 4 hours! This winter is turning into one of frequent anticlimaxes here.

well in the end it ended up pretty good here in north leeds. its white over but not that deep to the point of covering grass which would have been very nice indeed. however i saw some lovely heavy snow falling in huge flakes after a few hours of moderate small flaked snow. about 2-3cm. but was frustrated earlier to see us going yhrough the weakest gap in the radar as someone said earlier.

You know there is milder air aloft when you are getting moderate rain and it is below freezing.

Miserable out there!

Moderate snow for the last couple hours here. There's a light dusting at the moment, not much but didn't expect anything so nice to see.

Temp is 0.6C.

Am I the only one on the Lincolnshire Wolds, (It is sparsely populated) ? Am I indeed on the right forum?

No idea to be honest?  This thread includes Yorkshire and Eastern England but I don't know which part of Eastern England as there is already a Midlands thread which covers East Midlands and North East thread as well?

Edit just noticed there is also a Lincolnshire Cambridegshire and Norfolk Thread so maybe that is one for you?!

Maybe one for the mods @ajpoolshark?

Do we need a new thread with a name change?  No worries if not!

Turned to rain rather rapidly now, whilst we do have some accumulation here in York, it's been a thoroughly dreadful day.

Can see where the snowline is on the rainfall radar. Far east clinging onto the snow.

Yep, consistently wrong!  Slinging it down with rain now, yet Meto have upgraded us to heavy snow!  Auto graphics are useless!

Managed about an inch of snow in the last few hours here, finally being in the east has worked out in my favour for once after missing out on anything decent from all directions so far this winter.

Absolutely unlikely. Warm air has made it across and there's no going back.

My same feeling too but the snow line does seem to be backing back west a little lol

The whippet loved a play in the snow .. but one drawback, it has covered my

satellite dish and stopped the TV signal.
