Wouldn't surprise in the least if it did that. Yesterdays snow was a massive fail here and only produced one short snow shower between five and six in the morning.

Repeat performance of last night it seems. South Manchester got plastered and it skipped to the South West of sheffield.

Morning all,
Exactly on Zero here and dangerous conditions .. a thin ice covering over everything.
Very slippery for getting out and about.
Brrrr.

Excitement building again for next week in the mod thread!  Have to say though for me there is way too much banter over-running the thread recently, particular overnight.  My list of ignored users has dramatically increased over the last few days!

Well next shot will possibly be Tuesday. Local forecast says not and since it will be showery a good chance that it will be right. The windy weather for the weekend has been toned down as expected however the temperatures have gone up.

Anyone would think we had a maritime climate.
It's far more interesting to have alternating, milder spells and colder spells with short-lived snow that doesn't cause too much disruption.

Think i will be avoiding the model thread it’s given snow for next week for the south so you will never hear the end of it.

All off again this morning though!

I posted what I thought was a reasoned post on the thread this morning regarding the doom mongering and getting hung up on every op run but it appears to have been deleted so I will just let the little kids carry on with their toy throwing in the cold thread in peace!

As you say feels quite tropical this morning 8.2c here.

I suppose we can't get used to it though.....

Next week has #snow potential for UK especially Tue 29th/Wed 30th. Latest EC puts snowmageddon into England & Wales, UKMO global less developed and more restrained. Take away message is snow potential is there, details about where and amounts are not!

The snowdrops are enjoying it, just starting to open same time as most years here.

Ours were very early this year.  In fact the first flowers were out on the Saturday before Christmas!

Here they are today...

Let’s hope it’s a bit better than the last week, despite the so called ‘potential’ of h NW/SE flow.  The only snow I saw was 5-6 pm Friday evening, but nothing since.

+9c here at the moment, quite a stark contrast to 2-3 days ago when it was -2c this time of the evening!

The snow has finally all gone from the lawn this afternoon, it did manage to stay for 48 hours so it has felt quite nice and wintry here last few days.

Poor GFS tonight the best shot for Snow is Sunday afternoon. Monday the temperatures are two high away from the high ground plus what is coming down is light so a repeat of the other day. The showers then fail to get over the moors and what do Tuesday and Wednesday will be so light as the showers will be decaying so will fall mostly as rain. Thursday land Friday will see just rain. The naff winter continues. Hopefully the GFS is wrong on that. ECM going with a wet end to the working week as well. At least I won't have to worry about Doctors appointments or the dentist appointment.
