Light snow here blowing in the wind.

Location?

I can see very dark snow clouds south of leeds but nothing falling.

Radar weather type shows mostly snow away from the back edge from about Stoke northward.

Its been doing something here now for 30 minutes, just not really sure its pure snow, more a heavy sleet mix.

It did that in Hull yesterday afternoon. We had a 10 minute moderate snow fall in the morning then in the afternoon we got radar pulses showing but nothing fell. I'm presuming it evaporated on the way down.

Very light rain in Barnsley.  Radar shows patchy rain and sleet with snow reserved for higher locations currently.

A flop for Leeds and Sheffield going by the radar though to be expected and in line with the warnings.

The Met Office forecast for Leeds showed rain so we are already doing better than I expected.

I presume through the evening dew points and temperatures will drop a little further as well. Don't expect the snow to stick here but it should be quite nice and seasonal.

GFS goes for a lot of the precipitation tonight / into tomorrow to fall as snow so maybe things are indeed a bit more favourable then predicted.

Was the same until about 10 minutes ago, and now it’s showing dry all night!  Others have said the website and apps are automated so no human input so are fairly unreliable.

Snow is currently north of leeds with a gap in the front however the stuff on radar west of Sheffield is moderate and headed north.

We here in leeds should be good after 5.

Agreed.  Looks like a good amount of precipitation coming into Yorkshire, but will it be wet or white?  Here is hoping!

One thing to agree on is that this front has held up a lot better than thought.
