Will be going up to Thixendale / Kirby Underdale on Thur for a look now . This should be the beginning of a notable cold spell for snow starved East Yorkies

Got a weather station in Thixendale if your interested in the data, cracking frost hollow like.

You might not need to travel far if there are showers overnight, up to somewhere like Millington should be good.

I see the GFS has the front on Friday grinding to a halt over Yorkshire, could be some big snowfall totals to high ground if this comes of.

Well yes yes no for Friday. ECM has cottoned onto GFS of diving the shallow low into the UK UKMO says no and the local forecast has a single snow flake for one hour on Saturday. So all up for grabs. Some silly sniping by one or two dipsticks on the model thread unfortunatetly.

Just need to shift that -12 a few hundred miles west though. And yes I am greedy.

Could see up to 5 inches if the ECM is to be believed

I'm just glad things are cooling down nicely from tomorrow as far as the eye can see. I hope we don't see above 5c until March now! Its possible lol. After an awful winter so far things are changing for the better.

Lots of snow chances to come over the next few weeks I think,  perhaps a slight covering tomorrow evening even. Friday a possibility too and still a good chance Tuesday could see our first big snow event of the winter here in Yorkshire!

Fingers crossed ?️

Nah I'm over near the Trent so we'll have to see what happens , looks like I've got a chance of some snow this time , although if it hangs around it will shaft me as far as working on the cricket square is concerned as thats at 50m asl

So the Meto is going for snowfall from 9am till 9pm Friday into Saturday, ECM and GFS both look marginal and quite messy for low ground.

Managed to get a bit of work done on my cricket ground before this weekend , got the square spiked to assist with drainage before the snow arrives , a quick cut at 20mm and managed to get a winter feed on , now I can hide away in the greenhouse getting the baskets and pots sorted with bedding plants instead of freezing my butt off outside.
