Nothing spectacular here.

4.oc. as I was driving over the Yorkshire Wolds on my way home and heavy sleet.

May have a slight covering here by the morning if the temp drops a little.

Just had some sleep in heavier showers on the A616 between the M1 and Stocksbridge. I imagine some wet snow over the Woodhead Pass.

Problem is dew points rather than air or temperatures per say. The warm sea is moistening the flow too much and we don't have the uppers to compensate.

Tonight looks better for higher locations according to a video forecast I've seen.

Nothing will stop my Subaru outback AWD with winter tyres on.

The Subaru  AWD system gives you ultimate grip and will manage 20" of drifted snow.

I've never thought ooooo I'm going to get stuck

It was fun driving in the snow in February 18

To be fair the best snowfall arrives here just into January.

Sometimes we're lucky to get it before but not often.

I'd say latter part of December this year

Into the new year for my neck of the woods for a decent N Easterly.

I don't expect any here in Leeds but if i could walk out of work to a bit of falling snow that would be great.

If we get a decent N Easterly this winter it's worth a visit to the Yorkshire Wolds

It's nothing but open hills and valley's with a snowy postcard scenery

And 514ft asl.

I have to stock up on certain items like milk in bad weather.

Because at the end of my lane with a windspeed over 39mph the snow can drift to 6ft.

To deep even for my Subaru.

I can be cut off for days.

I have back up generators in case of power cuts.

I've got some good pictures

But I can't seem to upload them on here.

showers are full of hail and sleet on the Wolds here now

Yes they are quite heavy some off them

I'm heading to near the garrowby hill area soon to a clinic I have there.

lol that's oddly specific! What model are you using ;) :P

Cold rain here today, pretty awful weather! Daresay it'll turn sleety over the higher parts of Sheffield tonight but not expecting anything more than a slushy mess on a few cars, lawns above 200-250m etc etc. Snake Pass looks fun to drive on

Looks great Steve, just had a report from Bruce in Meopham and he has flakes there too.

Not much to report here near the east coast, 5.1c with heavy rain. If only the uppers were -7c or below

Easterly winds with less tracking across the warmish North Sea, 2 to 4 week with this set up and we would be having same.

I've not expected us to get any snow here in low lying areas this early in winter, more chance with a Northerly me thinks.

Lots of uncertainty with next weeks weather according to long range forecast that's just been on BBC news channel.
