It's showing one hour of sleet for me ? And so far it's correct, rain so far. Holding out hope for the heavy stuff approaching given the midlands seems to have had some snow from it. I may head over to Queensbury when it gets light just to make sure I get a final snow fix for the year!

Well some how yet again I manage to miss the snow!  This time I’m out in Dublin on a stag do and we have heavy rain. The Mrs back home in Barnsley says there is heavy snow and it’s settling fast!  That is pretty much every one of this seasons snow events missed by not being home when it snowed.  Slightly frustrating!

I live on the main A61 out of Sheffield, currently sat looking out on a virtually closed road! Heavy snow and sticking, only really 4 wheel drives moving. Me thinks the local weather forecast was a tad wrong!!!:yahoo:

Local forecast has changed back to Snow. Raining at five o'clock snowing at six. So in two hours it's managed to dump 5.5Cm of snow.

A pleasant surprise to wake up to.

We are not at 250 metres

Amazing here! Below 50m and it's managed this! Classic evaporative cooling

Went out for a drive. Got as far as Low Moor in Bradford. Can confirm that as far as west Yorkshire is concerned its rain east of the M1, snow to the west. Pics are of Bradford and Garforth, Leeds. 20180402_080717.thumb.jpg.7aaca80baee52fabf5d5489860374574.jpgIMG-20180402-WA0001.thumb.jpeg.de8e4aca80e467ce9ec9d500b594b761.jpeg

Had a ‘wow....look at this love’ currain moment. I mean wow, I was expecting a cm or two going by the warning but there looks to be about 6 or 7 (invalidated).

Here’s a pic:

Ladies and gentlemen, lets give it up for evaporative cooling! :good:awesome!

Classic example today, was raining heavy when I got up in the night and then it started snowing. Ended up with an inch or so here which is decent, but its the cooling thats swung it!

Heavy snow here :) I love when the weather proves people wrong, specially those in here that said "Oh wash out" rain rain! :yahoo:

But thats what the forecast was changing too. I posted loads when it showed snow on the graphics but it changed. I got up in the night about 4am and it was raining. Its turned to snow briefly due to it being heavy and now its raining again. This could have easily been a full rain event had the front been weaker. I half expected something which is whats in my post from last night, i simply said lets see what happens.....

Still snowing heavily here after a number of hours (there was a nice covering by 6am, don’t know when it started). No signs of it stopping for another hour or two, everywhere white with a few inches or so. A lovely surprise, looks like Euro4 was on the money for here at least.
