Slight ray of hope for Monday with cold uppers holding on in the early hours but so you may need to get up early to see it unless you're in the peak district. Local forecast has changed to mostly sleet although the snow at 10:00 is unlikely.

Dusting showing on the car and fiddle web cam.

Monday looking better again although the front is moving in much quicker so at the moment I wouldn't be surprised to see Snow in the early hours turning to rain by mid morning. So if you lie in you'll miss it.

This has to be one of the wettest Easter breaks on record although we did have one East where it snowed all day Friday turned to rain Saturday morning then back to Snow Saturday afternoon and snowed until Sunday evening. The rainfall content of that must have been fairly high. Pity I don't have my fathers figures on hand.

I'm driving from Kent to Calverley in NW Leeds on Monday. Has the snow been cancelled?

I was concerned about the drive initially as BBC video updates are snowing snow from Midlands North for most of the day.

Its just going to be a now cast really Monday. Meto site has lost the heavy snow symbols but the models do look a little better so who knows! They cant make their mind up lol...

The rain yesterday evening and last night was torrential, so must be some big totals now for the Easter weekend!

GFS has the front coming in much quicker than shown on the met app. If it is correct rain should arrive sometime after nine tomorrow evening.  Just had a look at John Holmes guide and we now have a marginal situation where earlier yesterday we didn't. By morning it will be rain for all though and if we're very lucky may scrape a few hours may scrape a few hours overnight although this very small chance and more likely in the peak district. Chances still very small and the next few runs may swing either way.

Is that for all of Yorkshire?

Prime spots Leeds to Harrogate, the further north the better due to the track of the heavier pulses.

For Leeds its showing snow starting around Sunday 11pm on high ground, getting down to lower levels and lasting till 9am. The front is coming in alot earlier than originally expected earlier in the week.

Sheffield high ground snow starts around 11pm till 6am.

Snow no further east from a line to Doncaster to Tadcaster.

Very latest forecast says rain away from 200m + in the Peaks and Pennines and even here it won't last long. Far NE England will do best away from the coasts.

Milder air further north.

Just to let you it's sleeting here.

My thoughts so far for Sheffield rain and perhaps some sleet at first this changing rapidly to rain. So a wet night and day for Sunny Sheffield. The place really to be is north Yorkshire you should get a covering and this should last a fair while. Further south than that probably more sleet than snow away from the higher ground and will be turning to rain during the morning. North Yorkshire should see it turning to rain around lunch time.

A slight upgrade on the 18z.

From am imby perspective living north of Leeds Bradford airport bordering North Yorkshire (we've moved house) the GFS shows snow starting 12 at night till 9am at the latest. The snow line is tantalising close from 9-12.

Even for high ground South Yorkshire there could be up to 6 hours of falling snow.

Easter Monday just looks like a washout now :( Big shame, i just wanted one last bit of snow fun and then can look forward to Spring. Oh well.....it has been a great winter though, much better than the last few. I was worried moving from Crosspool to Rotherham that i would find it even harder to see snow but we've had some decent cold this time and the 2 beasts in March will be remembered well! Lets hope solar min means the next few will be good too :)

Not according to all other forecasts though. Pretty much all switched to heavy rain for Leeds. I hope we do get some snow though, you never know

Had a quick look earlier and things looked a bit more favorable will look again when GFS finishes it's run. There does seem a bit of a timing issue between local forecast and GFS where the local forecast was a good four hours difference.

It's more of a high ground event but the NMM/icon/Hirlam all go for a period of snow

Met office is going for a mixture of sleet and heavy snow from 2am till 12.

BBC is going for a period of sleet and heavy snow for 6 hours lasting from 12 at night till 2 in the afternoon.

Okay doke my take of things. Head for North Yorkshire and north England as those areas should do well. For Sheffield Rotherham very little chance in the way of Snow and if you want too see it head on up into hills. May turn to sleet at times or wet snow lower down in the heavier bursts in the early hours otherwise rain. The problem is that we will depending on the rain to be heavy. If it's light kiss it all good night. Better in Leeds Bradford still marginal but if the rain is heavy it should do the trick more easily than further south. Wouldn't be surprised to see the higher areas to get a slushy covering at snow before it disappears rapidly in the morning. Met office forecast shows sleet for Leeds and Bradford which isn't so positive. Whatever you do don't sleep in folks.

Those in North Yorkshire lucky so and so's

Just popped in the south western region and nothing being posted in there which indicates just the wet stuff and no snow. Nothing in the Welsh discussion. So unless they are all getting typsy in the pub it's just brollies at the moment.

One bit of good news the temps are lower than GFS has forecast bad news forecast updated and back to sleet it did show snow briefly again today.

I've just got of the London train and it's freezing in Leeds, the station feels extra cold.

The temperatures in SW England are surprisingly cold at 2-3.c and this is with a strong southerly wind under the precipitation. The cold air didn't even make it that far south.

I think it's a now cast situation.

Just have to see what happens in the next few hours...ppn not far away now. It does feel chilly out there so simply a nowcast situation. If its heavy then we may get lucky with evap cooling but ill not be surprised if its just rain here in Bramley :)
